A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

I am a poetry writer, public accountant and mother of two lovely girls.

2. Why do you make art?

Art is the path that leads me to find the balance between my creative being and my outer being. Art has healed me and is one of the pillars of my family.

3. What inspires you?

I am inspired by emotions, my ancestral roots, the soul and the energies of beings. The living and dead nature, the moment without valuing the time, I like to concentrate on the interpretation of my social, family and cultural environment.

4. What/who are your influences?

Since my path is very experimental I can say that i have had the influence of painters such as Salarrué, Negra Alvarez, Augusto Crespín, Frida Kahlo, Leonora Carrignton, August Macke, Jackson Pollock and Picasso and Max Ernst.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

Gabriel García Márquez and Frida Kahlo.
