A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

I’m currently a waitress and a student at Middlesex County College.

2. Why do you make art?

I make art because it helps me express how I see the world. Art came to me naturally at such a young age. I can’t imagine doing anything else other than art or being an artist. I want others to look at my own work and admire how I chose to make it and inspire others.

3. What inspires you?

Other artists inspire me. I’m interested in the subject matter, and what style/ technique they have used. I like seeing art through the eyes of others who have a passion for art.

4. What/who are your influences?

My influences/ what inspires me to do my work is that someday someone would be able to connect with the message I’m trying to portray, with my own unique style and the thought process I have. While most of my work is mostly portraits, when it’s not it’s free to interpretation; I want it to hold a different meaning for each viewer.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

In terms of people who I want to meet dead or alive - Frida Kahlo.
