A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

Besides being an artist, I am a mom of a 6-year-old little artist and a half time Interior Design student.

2. Why do you make art?

Art has always been a way to connect with myself and my authenticity. I like to paint walls, jeans, shoes, canvases, wood, and even pumpkins.

3. What inspires you?

I find inspiration everywhere I go. I love to see how other people combine colors, add textures (visually and physically), and mix materials.

4. What/who are your influences?

My favorite art movement is the impressionist and post-impressionist, so all the artists of that time influences the way my brush strokes dance in the canvas. But I would be lying if I did not recognize Frida Kahlo as a huge influence in my life. Her authenticity and the way she let her artworks speak for herself has always moved me.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

Van Gogh would be the person I would love to meet. I would like to see him work; see how he did those famous brush strokes while mixing colors.
