A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

I'm a librarian at the Piqua Public Library in Piqua, Ohio, and I am an assistant at the Rusty Harden Studio in Tipp City, Ohio.

2. Why do you make art?

To get it out of my head!

3. What inspires you?

Events and experiences. Sometimes the places I visit or experiences I've had, or books I read, will generate a concept with a strong emotional attachment.

4. What/who are your influences?

I would love to say Frida Kahlo, Rene Magritte, R. Crumb and Dave McKean because these are some of my favorites. However, whenever my sister or those close to me see my art they most often comment that my style is "like Dad's." So, I must say, my biggest influence is my dad, Kendall alumni, R.J. Main.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

Just one? Ray Bradbury. Everytime I read his stories, the pictures just unfold!
