1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

I do a lot of things when I’m not making art. I’m trying to build my business, and market myself by taking photos, and posting to social media, and any websites art related. I also participate in my local craft fairs and local shops. I am a wife, a mother to a labradoodle Eva, and work on dog training, it’s a full time job.

2. Why do you make art?

I make art because I always have. My grandmother was an artist, so I guess it’s in my genes. It’s also very therapeutic for me. I also like that people can escape into my artwork.

3. What inspires you?

I get inspired by WOW there are so many things & people I have met and never met, but to keep it simple, the ocean is the most inspirational place, it doesn’t matter where, the Florida Keys or Thailand. I love the peace and connection and I get my inspiration from the water. Blues are my go to colors when painting.

4. What/who are your influences?

I am a fluid artist and currently my greatest influence has been Rinske Douna. I have been fortunate enough to take lessons from her via Skype from Amsterdam. She has a wonderful minimalistic style and I love the way she uses negative space. It is my dream to meet her in person one day.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

If I could meet anyone it would be Coco Chanel because she was an artist in her own right. She was a visionary, and had grit. She inspired women to live comfortably and freely.
